E-Collars I Prefer

Debbie Tayler

I work with a fair amount of dogs in my board to train program and we routinely take off-leash walks and practice recall. I utilize an e-collar since we live in an area frequented by coyotes and it is imperative the dogs come when called.

I started out utilizing the Sportdog collars, but I have recently become very fond of the Pet Trainer collars.

Some of the dogs are very sensitive and the tone or vibration mode are all that is required to have them happily return for treats when called. The Sportdog only offers one low level of vibration, while the Pet Trainer offers a range of vibration from 1 - 100. At the upper level, the vibration is significant and the dogs are very responsive to it.
