Crate Aggression

Today I worked with a dog who is very aggressive when in her crate.

When I walked in the door, she charged at me so hard she moved her crate approximately 3 - 4". I was careful not to move away when she charged at me, so that she felt less powerful. I also redirected her aggressive behavior with treats which immediately resulted in her changing from aggressive energy to calm, submissive energy.

The goal is to exchange the association of being in the crate and expressing aggressive behavior (her negative response) with calm, submissive energy that receives treats. I want her to be excited to see guests instead of wanting to bite them.

I'm working with various aggression issues with Sophie
